You choose. The gift can start right away, or on a date of your choice up to 3 months in the future. Scheduled gifts start at 8:00 a.m. (Berlin time) on the chosen date, and your payment is taken then. When the gift starts, the recipient receives an email with info on how to access it.
Email. As the gifter, you will provide an email address for the recipient. On the start date, an email with details of the gift membership (minus the price, of course) will be sent to the recipient's email address. If the membership plan you have selected contains physical benefits delivered by mail, you will be required to supply a delivery address for the recipient.
No, gift memberships don't renew automatically. All payments for gift memberships are one-time payments. For one-year gift memberships, we'll email you a reminder 14 days before the gift ends. You can buy the next gift up to 3 months in advance and choose a start date after the current one ends.
